A Message from Ember's Founder
When we built Ember, the goal was straightforward: give healthcare staffing agencies the AI infrastructure they needed to compete and win in an increasingly fast-moving market. We trained our model specifically on healthcare staffing data. We spent two years in development before going to market. We prioritized accuracy over speed to launch.
What we've learned from the agencies using Ember over the past several months has pushed us to build further and faster. The feedback has been clear: the core platform was solving real problems, but the teams using it were ready for more. More insight. More enrichment. More of the operational intelligence that turns data into decisions.
Today, I'm excited to share what we've been building.
Upgraded Analytics in Ember Complete
The latest version of Ember Complete adds a significant layer of analytics and metrics capabilities that didn't exist in the original platform. But I want to be clear about what we mean when we talk about analytics — because not all data is created equal.
This isn't about giving you more dashboards to click through or more reports to export. It's about turning the activity happening in your recruiting workflows into actionable intelligence that changes how your team operates.
"This isn't just about more data; it's about smarter data, and the ability to turn that data into actionable insights."
What does that look like in practice? Leaders can see submission velocity by recruiter and identify where in the pipeline candidates are falling off. They can track which positions are taking longest to fill and what the common factors are. They can see which candidate segments are converting at the highest rates and make sourcing and engagement decisions based on evidence rather than intuition.
For agencies that have historically relied on end-of-month rollups and manual tracking spreadsheets to understand their operations, this is a meaningful shift. The data was always there — Ember's analytics layer makes it accessible and interpretable in real time.
Introducing Ember Enhance
The second announcement is Ember Enhance — our AI-powered candidate profile enrichment tool, now available as a standalone capability within the platform.
Ember Enhance addresses one of the most persistent challenges in healthcare staffing: profiles that contain a candidate's name and contact information but are missing the granular details that make intelligent matching possible.
What shift availability did the candidate mention on their last call? Are they flexible on market, or were they clear about a specific region? What's their realistic compensation floor — not what they put on the application, but what they discussed with a recruiter six months ago? Do they have experience with a particular client type, or did they flag concerns about certain work environments?
This information exists. It lives in recruiter notes, call summaries, email threads, and the informal documentation that staffing professionals create throughout candidate relationships. Ember Enhance extracts it, structures it, and makes it queryable — so the full context of every candidate relationship is available to every recruiter who touches that candidate, not just the one who happened to take the original notes.
Specific enrichment targets include location preferences, shift availability, salary expectations, specialty focus, credentialing status, and engagement history. The result is profiles that support genuinely informed matching decisions rather than educated guesses.
What Early Adopters Are Seeing
The agencies that have been working with these new capabilities since the beta period have shared results that validate the direction we've been building toward.
Recruiters are identifying qualified candidates faster — the combination of enriched profiles and improved matching means less time searching and more time submitting. Submission volumes are up across the board, and the quality of those submissions has improved because the matches are more precise.
The placement numbers tell the story most clearly: over 70% of submitted candidates benefited from AI-powered profile enhancement through Ember Enhance. And more tellingly, over 90% of candidates who were ultimately placed had enhanced data profiles — meaning the enrichment wasn't just cosmetic, it was functionally improving who got submitted and why.
The Commitment Going Forward
These updates represent what we believe is possible when AI is built specifically for healthcare staffing rather than adapted from general-purpose tools. But they also represent a commitment to continuous improvement based on how agencies are actually using the platform.
The healthcare staffing market is competitive, fast-moving, and unforgiving of operational inefficiency. The agencies that embrace intelligent, data-driven hiring — not as a future aspiration but as a present operational reality — are the ones who will consistently outperform.
That's what Ember is built to enable. And we're just getting started.
